Dear Friend and Colleague
Following the success of the first Scar Club meeting, we are pleased to invite you to our second meeting, which will take place from 25–27 September 2008 in the beautiful and historic city of Montpellier, France.

The theme of the second SCAR Club meeting is ‘Scar Management 2008: The Turning Point'.
The intention is to provide delegates with an overview of the latest techniques in the prevention and management of excessive scarring, including presentations of patient case studies and information from up-to-the-minute research in the field.
The meeting will offer a practical approach to the prevention, evaluation and management of excessive scarring and it will also incorporate an interactive discussion with colleagues from other countries, which is hoped will stimulate the exchange of ideas regarding the management of excessive scarring.

The meeting promises to be both highly interesting and stimulating, with a combination of plenary presentations on the latest advances in the management of scars and workshop sessions to discuss pertinent topics in the field of excessive scarring.

This second SCAR Club meeting forms part of the Club’s commitment to drive advances and education in the management of scars. The SCAR Club recognises that scars continue to be an important source of physical and psychological problems despite advances in modern medicine.

We do hope you can join us in Montpellier for this exciting meeting, which not only offers you the chance to expand your knowledge of the very latest techniques in the field of excessive scarring, but also gives you the unique opportunity of visiting one of the world’s oldest surviving faculties of medicine founded in 1220.
